Having come through the Juventus youth academy and becoming a mainstay and captain of the first team, Pietro Rava was a ‘modern’ full-back, skilful in the defensive phase, thanks to his remarkable physical prowess, but also invaluable in attack, with his powerful left foot and ability to drive forward tirelessly on the wing.

An Olympic gold medallist in Berlin in 1936 and World Champion in France in 1938, he was one of four Italian players to have won both titles.
