The first “Baron” in the history of the Bianconeri is called Guglielmo Gabetto.
Born in Turin in 1916, he grew up in the Juventus youth team, made his debut in the first team in 1934, thus having time to take part in the first Golden five-year period and becoming a prolific and spectacular striker.
In seven years in black and white (until 1941), he scored 102 goals, 86 of which in the league, entering the top ten of Juventus scorers.
Gifted with great technique and a sense of goal, he stood out for his acrobatics and acrobatic plays.
After Juventus, he moved to Torino, becoming a pillar of the Grande Torino, a legendary team that disappeared (with him) in the Superga tragedy.
Gabetto embodied elegance and class in football, and left an indelible mark.
