Felice Placido Borel, known as Borel II, was born in Nice on 5 April 1914 and became a Juventus legend in the 1930s.
He made his Serie A debut in the 1932-33 season, scoring 29 goals in 28 games and becoming the youngest top scorer in the history of the Italian championship at 19 years old.
With Juventus, “Farfallino”, so nicknamed for the grace of his movements and his natural class, won three consecutive Scudetti from 1932 to 1935 and an Italian Cup in 1938.
In the national team, he contributed to Italy's victory in the 1934 World Cup.
After a stint at Torino, he returned to Juventus as a player-coach.
He is the sixth best scorer in the club's history with 158 goals.
He died in Turin on 21 February 1993.
